Selective soldering machines consist of a flux sprayer, preheater, and a solder bath, which dispenses solder through the soldering nozzle. This process is faster and more efficient than manual soldering. Selective soldering machines utilize a single nozzle that moves to the designated area, leaving the rest of the PCB untouched. Consequently, selective soldering requires less flux and solder material, eliminating the need to cover certain parts of the PCB to prevent deposition or heat damage.
