Our presenters:

dr. Andre Egbert – Waygate Technologies
André Egbert received his PhD in physics in 1999 from the University of Hannover. From 1999 to 2003 he has been with the Laser Zentrum Hannover working on X-ray sources. Since 2003 he had different sales roles at phoenix|x-ray, later at General Electric and more recently at Waygate Technologies – a Baker Hughes business. At present, he is Senior Channel Sales Manager being responsible for sales of X-ray and CT products in Eastern Europe.

Jan Gräser – Hexagon
Before Hexagon Jan Graser was the head of lab at Fresenius medical care. In that lap he offered many differend research methods from light microscopy over confocal laser scanning microscopy, scanning electron microscopy with analytics, tactile and optical coordinate measurement up to computed tomography. He bought the 1st CT there in 2009 and started with VG Version 2.2. He started to work for VG as a product owner for CT reconstruction in 2022. Since early 2024 he is the product manager for the complete VG product line at Hexagon.

dr. Antal Sklánitz – Aumovio
In 2003, he began working at Temic Hungary Kft. in Budapest, which is now Continental Automotive Hungary Kft.
He was responsible for managing several manufacturing areas, as a result of which he has extensive experience and comprehensive knowledge in the field of automotive electronics manufacturing.
Since 2016, he has been the head of the Central Quality Assurance Laboratory at Continental Automotive Hungary Kft.

Ádám Salik – Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority
He graduated as an environmental engineer from the Faculty of Light Industry and Environmental Protection at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, after which he completed a degree in radioecology at the Institute of Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Pannonia.
He worked as a research fellow at the Department of Radiation Biology and Radiation Health at the Faculty of Light Industry and Environmental Engineering at BME.
As a member of the National Radiation Health Emergency Service, he gives lectures on radiation protection and participates in on-site measures. He deals with open and closed radiation sources, the extension of the service life of radiation sources in X-ray equipment, and radiation protection. He performs the tests required for exemption from the Atomic Energy Act, acceptance tests for medical diagnostic X-ray equipment, and prepares radiation protection plans and studies.

Kristóf Neubauer – Tyco Electronics Hungary
Kristóf Neubauer graduated from Óbuda University as a Safety Engineer, then obtained a degree in Automotive Quality Management Engineering from Pannon University. He worked as a quality engineer for several years, including at Valeo Auto Electric and Siemens. He was a fault analysis engineer at Samsung SDI, where he learned how to operate and maintain metrology systems, such as CT equipment. He has been working at Tyco Electronics Hungary Kft. since 2021, first as a CT Metrology Engineer and currently as the Head of the Metrology Department.

Matt Gormley – Pinnacle X-Ray Solutions
Matt Gormley has been in Non-Destructive Testing for 20 years with a career starting in Aerospace with Pratt & Whitney in the USA. His primarily roles served as a Responsible Level 3 in PT, RT, CR, and DR. He has supported the global supply chain and production facilities in digital radiography development and integration. He joined Pinnacle X-Ray Solutions in 2018 as a technical sales representative, and most currently the Director of Global Sales. He is a member of the American Society of Non-Destructive Testing Foundation Board and Trustee as well as an advisor to Chattanooga State Community College NDT program in the United States.
More about our programme:
Non-destructive testing technologies, especially X-ray examinations, are indispensable for high-level quality assurance, whether in electronics manufacturing, casting inspection, or quality control of injection-molded samples. In recent years, CT scanning has come to the fore, which, in addition to examining internal structures, has made it possible to check geometric dimensions for both external and internal dimensions using our calibrated equipment. With the help of VGStudio MAX software—for which we are the official representative and accredited training center—samples scanned with CT equipment can be easily analyzed and even evaluated automatically.
On our X-ray technology day, we will devote a special section to the safety of X-ray equipment. Our guest speaker, Ádám Salik, representing the Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority, will help us navigate the maze of the Atomic Energy Act in force in Hungary.
Dr. Antal Sklánitz, head of the Aumovio Central Quality Assurance Laboratory, will enrich our program with a presentation on CT examinations of archaeological finds.
Kristóf Neubauer from Tyco Electronics Hungary will demonstrate how automatic CT examinations are used in industrial settings to check geometric dimensions.
In his presentation, Dr. André Egbert will introduce us to the latest developments at Waygate Technologies.
Matt Gormley, representing our new partner Pinnacle X-ray, will give a presentation introducing the products they represent.
During the afternoon live practical demonstrations, we will present 2D automated testing on our Waygate Micromex Neo X-ray machine in our demo lab, as well as automated CT testing using a VTomex S240 Neo device with VG Inline software. Hexagon will also present its new Absolute arm solution, which can be used to easily capture surface roughness on samples, and the scanned surface roughness can be immediately viewed and examined on 3D models.
